The meeting was introduced by the president of the association, Mrs. Giannina Figus, together with her husband, Mr. Franco Ravaglioli.
In addition to giving thanks for the numerous presence even though it was a sunny day, Mrs. Figus underlines the important and fundamental role of a mother in the life of everyone, from birth to growth, to becoming adults and even beyond.
Mrs. Edda Grande then spoke, presenting the fundraising project born in 2015 for the relief and assistance to women in Nepal, a distant country which needs fundamental medical help.
After this introduction, Mrs. Rosi Bovino presented and introduced, with ample considerations of psychological implications, the writer Roberta D’amore, author of the book “Io senza di te non esisterei” (I would not exist without you).
The writer introduces herself in her profile as a lawyer, specialized in legal / trade union matters, relating to the protection of motherhood in Italy.
She recalls her university studies in law, a whole course of excellence!
She tells in details her experience as mother-generator of a girl whom she adores, who today is just over two years old, and who in the expectations was believed to be a boy!
Above all, she tells of the feeling that pervaded and tormented her: will I be able to be a good mother?
So she started writing a secret diary, to which she confided her doubts, emotions, maternal experiences, day after day…
No one knew about this diary….
After the pregnancy leave, being back to work, during the numerous train trips that were necessary to attend the various meetings that her activity forced her to attend, she got a fantastic idea! the idea of transforming her personal and secret diaries into a long ‘love letter’ to her daughter, so that one day her daughter may know the real feelings, fears, confusions and hesitations that her mother felt in the difficult role of becoming a mother.
Her diaries have now been transformed into a book, presented on this occasion, for Mother’s Day.
A warm applause followed the writer’s speech!
Then Prof. Francesco Di Carlo took the floor; he is rector of the “Univisconti” University in Osio, Bergamo province, and is an expert jurist, criminologist, scholar of the behavior of the psyche, and neuro-sociologist. He explains numerous examples of the various behaviors of children and adults; many mental deviances are mentioned, related to sociology.
The subject is very interesting, and there are many comments from the audience. But because the maximum time allowed for this conference has been reached, the president, Mrs. Giannina Figus, closes the assembly.
It is 7.15 p.m.
Follows the sale of the book, with personalized dedication of the writer.
